We know you have questions! As the ride approaches we’ll be sharing updated route maps, information on how to participate in the leaderboard challenge, details about ride day, and lots more. With the uncertainty surrounding COVID we didn’t want to share information only to have to change it later. As we get closer we are confident that we’ll be able to share exactly what to expect, and to deliver on ride day. So stay tuned, and keep training!

Jersey Deadline Tomorrow, and Ride Sellout is Approaching!

Tomorrow, June 22nd is the last day to order jerseys in order to have them for the ride. If you are already registered and you’ve decided that you’d like to purchase a jersey please use the contact form or email events@portangeles.org. If you are planning to do the ride and you haven’t registered yet please don’t wait or you’ll miss out on this extraordinary experience.

Riding as a team or with a group?

Primal, the company that makes our jerseys, has asked us to reach out and let you know that they can customize jerseys for your team or group. Century Slots Added!

We didn’t realize how popular the Century would be and it sold out much quicker than we anticipated. We’ve added more spots, so if you weren’t able to register for that route and would still like to do so, please use the contact form to let us know or email events@portangeles.org, and we’ll update your registration and send you a new confirmation.

Registration is open!

Registration is open for Ride the Hurricane 2021. We are officially launching our fully supported Century ride this year! We anticipate this being our biggest ride ever so don’t wait for the weather report before signing up or you might miss out. We are limited to how many cyclists we can have in the Olympic National Park and we expect the ride to be full. Jerseys must be ordered by Tuesday, June 22nd in order to get them at ride check-in. Make your room reservations!

Ride the Hurricane is always the first Sunday in August. Our summers are busy and local accommodations fill up quickly. There are other events happening in town the same weekend as the ride this year, so our hotels, motels, and vacation rentals will almost certainly sell out. Registration for the ride isn’t open yet (although we are almost there, we promise) but don’t let that stop you from making a reservation if you’re planning to stay the night before. Why not make a weekend of it? You’ll be glad you did! You can visit the Chamber of Commerce lodging page HERE.

2021 Registration

We’re getting a lot of questions about registration for 2021. We know you’re eager to sign up, but event planning is still a constantly changing process and we want to get it right the first time. Go ahead and mark your calendars and plan accommodations because the ride will happen on August 1, 2021, we’re just not ready to start registering people yet. We’ll let you know as soon as registration opens. We are currently taking names for volunteers, so if you know someone who can’t do the ride but might like to be a part of this amazing event, please send them our way. They can add their name to the list of interested helpers at HERE

We’ve been getting a lot of inquiries for Ride the Hurricane this year. The race is always on the first Sunday in August, so you can mark your calendars as far forward as you want. We are excited to see the return of so many new cyclists who joined us last year, and of course our Canadian friends from across the Straits, who were very much missed at the 2020 ride. If you haven’t yet, please scroll to the bottom of the Home page and subscribe. That’s the best way to get the latest updates and news about Ride the Hurricane.

Jerseys are here and we have extras!

The jerseys have arrived and they’re sorted and ready to ship! They’re going out today, but if you live locally and you’d rather pick yours up at the Visitors Center, we’ll hang on to it. Send an email to events@portangeles.org to make pickup arrangements.
